Castlewood Productions tonight received the 2011 Tourism Media Award at the 18th Annual BC Tourism Industry Conference awards gala in Victoria, British Columbia for its production of BEST. TRIP. EVER. broadcast on Discovery Channel Canada.
Lana Denoni, Board Chair of the Tourism Industry Association of BC. presented the award to Andrew Burnstein, Castlewood’s President and Executive Producer. Denoni said, “I am very pleased to announce Castlewood Productions Inc, as the winner of this year’s Tourism Media Award for their production of BEST. TRIP. EVER. This award recognizes a journalist or media outlet from British Columbia or around the world whose exceptional coverage of British Columbia helped entice more people to visit the province.”
In accepting the award at the gala before 400 industry executives, Burnstein said,
“Being a born and raised British Columbian, I am very proud to be recognized for this program. As many of you know NBC and NBC Sports won this award last year, so I’m proud to be in very good company.”
